Recce

 For our recce we explored two areas in order to check the lighting and sound.

We had previously created a checklist for what we wanted from the setting in order to give ourselves a basis to work from. We had decided that we wanted a dark location, which was in a dark confined space and was also dirty/untidy. This was in order to make the scene look as if it was filmed in the backroom of a warehouse.

The first place we checked was under a stage filled with metal poles and chairs. The lighting was good as you we able to use the camera in low light situations and there was no echo.

The second was in a drama studio- we decided that the lighting was not sufficient for our film as the room was too bright and the room was also very plain and tidy. Therefore we decided to go for our first option as this fitted our plan much better and allowed us to get many shots from different angles in order to make our film look more professional.
